Mission
We are an international, project-based school offering a personalized curriculum in a dual-language setting to students from 2 to 18 years. Journey School is also a vibrant and inclusive learning community empowering students to think critically, creatively, and independently through instruction, interaction, and modeling. We foster active exploration and quiet reflection, individual endeavors, and collaborative engagement. We are interested in the pursuit of truth, understanding, and the common good.Core Values
Respect – Courage – Kindness – Love – Gratitude – Joy – Empathy – Forgiveness – Compassion – Academic ExcellenceGrading Scales
The Journey School of Costa Rica grading system values both the process and the final product of the learning experience. Student GPAs are based on a 1–4 scale, which is not equivalent to traditional grading scales such as A+, percentages, or numerical scores. At Journey School, students recognize that achieving the highest level on the scale reflects more than just a strong grasp of advanced skills. It demonstrates their ability to think creatively, form original connections, and develop thoughtful, innovative ideas as part of their learning journey. This system prioritizes meaningful growth and deep comprehension. Our alumni are attending or have graduated from the following universities:Region | Universities | |
