This Privacy Policy explains how Journey School of Costa Rica (“Journey School,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through this website. It applies to this site only and does not cover information you provide to us in person, by email, or through enrollment and student-records processes, which are handled separately under our internal policies.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit a form on this site, we collect the details you enter:
- Contact forms: your name, email address, the campus you’re asking about, and your message.
- Careers / job application form: your name, email address, phone number, teaching qualifications, salary expectation, preferred campus, your message, and the cover letter and CV files you upload.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit — such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site. This comes from standard server logs and from Google Analytics (see Cookies & analytics below).
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and connect you with the right campus.
- To review and follow up on job applications.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To keep the site secure and operating properly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers we share with
We share information only with the trusted services that make this website work. Each processes data on our behalf:
- Resend — delivers your form submissions to our school email inboxes.
- Google Analytics — provides anonymous, aggregated website usage statistics.
- Google Translate — powers the English/Spanish translation option.
- Vercel — hosts the website and serves its pages.
Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry or evaluate your application, and as our records require. Google Analytics data is retained in aggregate according to Google’s standard retention settings. You can ask us to delete information you’ve sent us at any time.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for parents, guardians, prospective families, and job applicants — not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. Information relating to enrolled students is handled through the school’s separate admissions and student-records processes, not this website.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted through this site. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
